Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series Arrives As 125 Unit-Only Special

The beloved Lexus LC 500 is getting a special treatment in the North American market, as Lexus introduces the new Inspiration Series model for its flagship sportscar. Limited to only 125 units, the LC 500 Inspiration Series features a slew of performance parts and minor styling elements to set it apart from the standard models.

Starting with the visuals, this special LC 500 is draped in a new Polar Surge Satin exterior hue with a satin lacquer topcoat. This white canvas is contrasted with a slew of black accents, notably at its front grille surround, headlights and taillights inserts, side mirror caps, as well as the 21-inch forged wheels it rides on.

Aside from those, the LC 500 Inspiration Series also gets new aero parts, such as the front bumper canards, while the coupe variant gets special carbon fibre rear wing. On the other hand, the convertible variant swaps the carbon wing for a blue-hued fabric soft-top roof that matches the cabin’s upholstery.

Speaking of cabin, the Deep Blue upholstery is matched with contrasting grey stitchings, while both the headliner and seats are laced with Alcantara trims. To denote this special model, each LC 500 Inspiration Series cabin comes with a special carbon fibre commemorative plate with the exact unit number bolstered on it. Topping-off the cabin amenities list are the special ‘Inspiration Series’ door sill plates and the 13-speaker 915-watt Mark Levinson premium hi-fi system.

In terms of powertrain, the LC 500 Inspiration Series is powered by the same 5.0-litre nat-asp V8 mill that delivers 470 HP and 544 NM to boot. As for the other performance hardware, this sportscar is also primed with Torsen limited-slip differential, while its rear axle gets performance dampers.

As we mentioned earlier, only 125 examples of the Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series will be made, and all of them will be heading to the North American market. The coupe model starts at $116,700 (RM542,188), while the topless variant commands a heftier asking price of $121,900 (RM566,347). As naturally-aspirated ICE sportscars are getting more scarce in recent years, we’d reckon these price tags can easily skyrocketed in no time.
