DC Handal DCFCs @ JPO And IOI City Mall Activated - 61 EVCB Now LIVE

Just in time for the Hari Raya celebration, the folks at DC Handal were able to expedite the activation of their EV charging stations at Johor Premium Outlet (JPO) and IOI City Mall Putrajaya, which is ideal for those travelling down south or back.
Down south, DC Handal's JPO EV Charging station houses a quad-satellite configuration Kempower DCFC with a 200 kW output that is dynamically distributed among them based on the vehicle's state of charge (SOC). In this location, each satellite is equipped with a single CCS2 charging nozzle and Kempowers' proprietary cable management system.

Meanwhile, the charging station at the IOI City Mall, located on level LG, Zone D, is served by three Autel dual-nozzle charging units: a 240 kW DCFC, a 47 kW DCFC, and a 22 kW AC charger, all with its own cable management.
The DCFC layout at IOI City Mall is rather simple, with dynamic units that channel power dependent on the vehicle's output; however, the AC units are quite unique, as we rarely see AC chargers with a dual-nozzle setup in the country. According to the experts at DC Handal, this AC unit can take in 44 kW of power to deliver the 22 KW required by each nozzle, depending on the cars on board.

Now with regards to the charging prices, the JPO charging station would cost RM1.50/kWh, which appears to be the usual pricing among CPOs in Malaysia right now.
Meanwhile, at the IOI City Mall, the charging rate varies according to the charger used. The 240 kW DCFC costs RM1.50/kWh, the 47 kW DCFC costs RM1.30/kWh, and the 22 kW AC costs RM1/kWh.

To date DC Handal has rolled out 61 DCFC charging points across 18 locations. All DC Handal chargers at both sites feature an integrated payment terminal that accepts debit and credit cards, MyDebit, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and virtual payments via the JomCharge and chargEV apps.
