During a raid on a premises in Taman Impian Emas today, the Johor Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) recovered 70,000 litres of subsidised fuel worth RM150,500.
According to Johor KPDN director Lilis Saslinda Pornomo, the raid was carried out at 1.15 PM by KPDN enforcement officials and police, and it targeted a collecting and transit storage facility.

During the raid, three people were initially detailed in the process of transporting diesel from big tanks to tanker trucks. However, said trio later fled from the scene. "Investigations revealed that this premises was used as a storage facility for subsidised diesel before being transported to designated customer locations," Lilis Saslinda said during a press briefing at the raid site.

She further explained that the syndicate had been in operation for over six months and their operation model is similar to other syndicates running such operations. They purchased diesel at petrol stations in a variety of vehicles, including lorries and vans. The diesel will then be stored at this facility before being loaded onto tanker trucks, and transported to customers.
During the raid, authorities confiscated two tanker trucks and two huge tanks. Lilis Saslinda stated that additional investigations would be conducted to identify those implicated, including the landowners of the buildings.
The case is being investigated under Section 21 of the Control of Supplies Act of 1961.
