SAIC Motor Malaysia Certifies 39 MG Technicians

SAIC Motor Malaysia announced the graduation of 39 newly certified MG technicians. All were trained to deliver high-quality after-sales services for both Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EV).
The program, in collaboration with a local training academy, used a curriculum from SAIC’s global markets to ensure trainees meet international standards.

Additionally, just last month, SAIC Motor International invited SAIC Motor Malaysia to participate in its global training initiatives. This then led to the certification of these technicians in advanced MG models, including the MG4 and ZS EV in Shanghai, and the MG5 and MG HS in Thailand.
This hands-on training focused on practical skills critical for maintaining and repairing some of the most advanced MG vehicles in the global lineup.

Among the graduates, two female service advisors stood out as this course highlighted the growing demand for EV technicians as Malaysia experiences a surge in electric vehicle adoption.
SAIC Motor Malaysia plans to offer further specialised training, particularly in EV and High-Voltage Battery Technology, aiming to develop junior technicians into master technicians.

According to Emory QiFeng, Managing Director of SAIC Motor Malaysia, "Training and service are crucial to enhancing the customer experience, particularly as we embrace the shift toward electromobility in Malaysia."
He also reiterated SAIC Motor Malaysia’s commitment in building a highly skilled workforce that not only meets but exceeds customer expectations.

By investing in this skilled workforce, SAIC Motor Malaysia is positioning itself to lead the way in both ICE and EV technologies, ensuring that customers receive the best service as the industry continues to evolve.
