2025 Zeekr X Launched In China At Only RM83K

The Zeekr X is set to launch in Malaysia later this month for an expected price below RM180,000. However, in China, Zeekr has just unveiled the 2025 model with a 25% price reduction, starting at RMB149,900 (RM92,000), and further discounted to RMB134,900 (RM83,000) after a government subsidy.
This revamped pricing aims to address underwhelming sales, boosting customer interest in Zeekr’s home market.

Originally launched in China in Apr 2023, the Zeekr X gained global popularity for its funky design which somehow did not translate into sales traction, moving just 28,926 units from May 2023 to Sept 2024.
The 2025 model launched retains the same interior and exterior styling but now it includes a new black colour option and updated 18-inch rims. The Zeekr X which measures 4,450 MM long, 1,836 MM wide, 1,572 MM tall, with a wheelbase of 2,750 MM, comes in both four-seater (2+2) and five-seater (2+3) configurations in China.

The centre console still features Zeekr's unique 14.6-inch sliding infotainment screen, which can shift from the centre to in-front of the passenger side - a feature not available in the Malaysian version.
The 2025 Zeekr X’s new 49-kWh LFP battery will power a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 200 kW (268 HP), enabling a respectable 0-100 KM/H sprint in 5.8 secs with a CLTC driving range of 420 KM.

Meanwhile the ongoing 66-kWh NMC battery pack remains an option, available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (4WD) configurations, with the RWD producing 200 kW (268 HP) and the 4WD 315 kW (422 HP). The 66-kWh battery offers a range of 512 KM and 560 KM CLTC respectively.
Here’s a breakdown of the 2025 Zeekr X’s post-subsidy prices:
- RWD, 49-kWh, 5 seats – RMB134,900 (RM83,000)
- RWD, 66-kWh, 5 seats – RMB150,000 (RM92,000)
- 4WD, 66-kWh, 5 seats – RMB184,900 (RM114,000)
- RWD, 66-kWh, 4 seats – RMB184,900 (RM114,000)
The 2025 Zeekr X balances new specifications with competitive pricing, aligning with Zeekr’s strategy to strengthen its market presence in its home country.
