EV Next Launches As Malaysia’s First Used EV Dealership

Sime Motors has officially launched EV Next (styled as ‘EV NEXT’), Malaysia’s first dedicated used electric vehicle (EV) dealership chain.
Effectively, this is an offshoot of the firm’s existing Sime Darby Auto Selection (SDAS) arm, and it aims to be a regional leader in the EV market.

Much like SDAS is with used and pre-owned combustion (ICE) cars, EV Next boasts a wide selection of used and pre-owned EVs. Additionally, all are offered with attractive trade-in deals plus expert aftersales support.

“People are embracing sustainable mobility, and we’re excited to introduce the first used EV dealership designed to suit different lifestyles,” said Andrew Basham, MD of Sime Motors, earlier today at the launch of the first EV Next outlet in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, earlier today.
The exec also emphasised on the firm’s wealth of experience handling a variety of EVs driving this latest endeavour. “With prices starting below RM100,000, there’s an EV for everyone,” remarked the exec further.

Jeffrey Gan, MD of Southeast Asia at Sime Motors, also stressed EV Next’s customer-focused approach. “There’s strong demand for high-quality pre-owned EVs, and we’re here to meet that need with trust and reliability at every step of ownership,” said Gan.
A quick glance from today's launch shows that EV Next carries a wide selection of EV brands from the Sime Motors umbrella. Notable names include BYD, BMW, MINI, Hyundai, Jaguar, Porsche, and Volvo.

Besides that, EV Next also carries used and pre-owned EVs from other brands too. The goal is to offer a seamless experience, from choosing the right EV to ongoing maintenance and support.
To enhance customer confidence, Sime Motors also provides Drivecare, an independent aftersales network designed to give EV owners complete peace of mind.

Whether you’re buying your first EV or trading up, Drivecare’s team of certified technicians ensures every vehicle, including its battery, remains in peak condition.

Customers looking to trade in or buy a used EV are encouraged to drop by EV Next showrooms in Glenmarie, Chan Sow Lin, and TREC. Alternatively, they can visit https://evnext.my/ to browse for used EVs for sale, or even book an appointment to sell or service their EVs.
Expansion of EV Next’s network is also underway, with new locations coming soon in Penang, Tebrau, and Johor Bahru.
