iCaur 03 Teased for Malaysia Autoshow 2025
-full_normal.jpg)
Chery’s strategy in Malaysia continues to evolve, and the latest development brings the iCaur brand into focus - in much clearer light too, if we might add.
Earlier today, the company has taken to social media for the incoming new iCaur brand, teasing its first model offering the iCaur 03. Said teaser also confirms that a local debut is just around the corner.
Though only shown in silhouette, the iCaur 03’s distinctive vertical light signature gives away its identity. It’s expected to be officially launched or open for registration of interest (ROI) at the upcoming Malaysia Autshow 2025 (MAS 2025), alongside the iCaur V23.

Interestingly, the iCaur 03 was previously previewed last year at MAS 2024 as the Jaecoo J6. While it’s sold under the Jaecoo name in Singapore and Thailand, Malaysia will get this model under the new standalone brand detailed.
In terms of styling, the iCaur 03 draws strong inspiration from the Land Rover Defender just like the iCaur V23. It sits 4,406 MM long with a 2,715 MM wheelbase, 1,910 MM wide, and 1,715 MM tall. For perspective, it is slightly more compact than the Chery Omoda E5.

If the Thai-spec Jaecoo J6 is any guide, two variants of the iCaur 03 are likely to enter our market. It starts with a base 2WD packing 181 HP and 220 NM from a single rear-mounted e-motor. Above which comes a higher-end AWD variant with peppier 275 HP and 385 NM outputs via dual e-motors - one over each axle.
Battery capacity differs slightly. The 2WD uses a 65.69-kWh LFP pack offering 371 KM (WLTP). The AWD instead gets a 69.77-kWh unit with 364 KM of range. Both support 6.6 kW AC and 80 kW DC charging abilities on top of offering 3.3 kW V2L function.

Inside, expect a 9.2-inch digital cluster, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen powered by a Snapdragon 8155 chip, wireless charging, and an optional 12-speaker Infiniti sound system — all pointing toward a premium user experience.

In Thailand, prices for the Jaecoo J6 starts at THB1.099 million (RM138,000) for the baseline Long Range 2WD and THB1.249 million (RM157,000) for the top-spec Long Range 4WD model.
With both the iCaur 03 and V23 expected at the Malaysia Auto Show 2025 (May 9–15, MAEPS Serdang), attention now turns to how Chery plans to position its ever expanding portfolio and vehicle line-up.
