Proton June 2025 Sales Drops To 11,361 Units
National automaker Proton saw its June 2024 sales totalled at 11,361 units. The automaker also closed 1H 2025 with a YTD total sales of 72,156 units.

National automaker Proton revealed its June 2025 sales figures earlier today, and the 11,361 units it shifted group-wide last month marked a drop from the 13,328 units it shifted back in May.
Despite this, P1 does close the first half (1H) of this year (2025) with a year-to-date (YTD) sales total of 72,156 units. Not only does this mark a slight increase Year-on-Year (YoY), the national automaker’s 1H 2025 sales total also stands as industry’s second highest.
Despite the drop, Proton does revel in the fact that its market share grew by 1.1% to 20.7%.

Proton also touts its total market share slightly grew by 1.1% from last month to a new 20.7% figure. This comes from the onset of an estimated Total Industry Volume (TIV) of 53,500, which was slashed by 21% from May’s 68,007 units TIV.
Whilst domestic sales saw a slight slump, Proton’s June 2025 overseas exports grew by 56.8%, totalling at 414 units. Altogether, YTD total exports now stands at 2,250 units, marking a 39.9% increase.

The groundbreaking Proton e.MAS 7 EV is charting success both domestically and overseas. Further growth is also expected following recent updates revealed last week.

Much of Proton’s export growth is buoyed by its groundbreaking e.MAS 7 EV SUV offering. Notably, combined domestic and export sales of the Proton e.MAS 7 now stands as at 4,253 units since its Dec 2024 launch.
The e.MAS 7 presently holds a sizeable 24% market share of the local EV market too, and this poised to grow this further. The latter stems from the updated specifications and blostered purchase incentives revealed just last week.

Both the Saga (left) and S70 (right) continue to stand as key sedan models, the former still ranked as best-seller with 5,206 units shifted last month too.

Charting the higher YoY growth last month was the face-lifted Proton X70 C-SUV. It's total YTD sales of 4,354 units charted in 1H 2025 marks a 46.3% growth, in fact.

Elsewhere, the Saga nameplate continues to stand as the firm's best seller with 5,206 units shifted in June 2024. Its larger Geely-based S70 stablemate, on the other hand, continues to lead the local C-segment sedan space with 1,402 units shifted.
Critically, the Proton X70 nameplate recorded the highest sales growth figure last month too. With 533 units shifted in June 2025, the model’s YTD total now stands at 4,354 units, marking a 46.3% YoY increase here too.
Proton adds that the improved sales pace of the X70 stands as proof that the improvements introduced in the improved and face-lifted model introduced a year ago holds strong appeal amongst local C-SUV prospects.

Above all, Proton remains optimistic despite the sales slump, which can be attributed to the incoming arrival of the face-lifted and revamped X50 B-SUV offering – the automaker’s second best-seller after the Saga mentioned.
For June 2025, the outgoing pre-facelift X50 model charted total sales of 1,657 units. Throughout 1H 2025, the X50 model saw 11,361 units shifted in total, marking an 11.3% YoY increase too – figures the new facelift version mentioned will soon have to meet.

Face-lifted 2025 Proton X50 in range-topping Flagship guise featured. The revamped X50 will launch soon with a raft of styling changes and tech upgrades plus a revised new powertrain.

Revealed earlier this month, the popular B-SUV offering in its latest 2025MY guise gains a raft of styling, tech and design updates plus a revised new 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbo powerplant to boot.
Whilst bookings are now opened, prices remain unconfirmed, though with the nameplate streamlined to just three variants now, the floor price is expected to go up. For reference, the pre-facelift X50 RC model started at RM86,300 with its now discontinued ‘Standard’ guise.
