Launched: Yadea RS20 e-Scooter – 105 KM Range, RM4,998

The all-new Yadea RS20 e-scooter has been launched in Malaysia, featuring up to 105 km of range and priced at RM4,998.
Local motorcycle distributor giant MForce Bike Holdings Berhad (MForce) has added yet another urban e-scooter to its Yadea product lineup as it launches the all-new Yadea RS20. This urban e-scooter is priced at RM4,998 excluding tax and insurance, and is also eligible for a tax rebate under the MARiiCAS initiative.
Said price is inclusive of a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects. Customers will also have access to genuine spare parts for the RS20 e-scooter online via MForce’s official portal.

Powering the RS20 is a single 2.45 kW motor with a maximum torque of 107 Nm and two riding modes (Eco and Sport), although its speed limit is governed at only 50 km/h. Juice is provided by a 72-volt 22 Ah battery that can be charged from 0 to 100% in about eight hours and is good for up to 105 km of travel range.

Stopping power is provided by a single hydraulic disc brake at the front and a mechanical drum brake at the rear, both with a combined braking system (CBS). In terms of dimension, the RS20 spans 1,820 mm long, 666 mm wide, 1,130 to 1,290 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 1,298 mm. Ground clearance is capped at 180 mm, while the entire bike tips the scale at 114 kg with the battery or 72 kg without it.

Design-wise, the RS20 e-scooter ditches the futuristic looks of its stablemates for something more retro-inspired, drawing inspiration from some iconic retro scooters, particularly from one peculiar Italian brand. Some key exterior highlights include full LED lights and turn signals, telescopic front fork suspension, dual rear shock absorbers, 12-inch wheels with 90/80 tubeless tyres, and many more.
Not to forget, three colour options are available for the RS20, namely Khaki Grey, Roman Grey, and Grey.

On-board, the RS20 e-scooter comes with several modern amenities, including its fully digital metre panel that can be paired with your smartphone via the Yadea mobile app, allowing you to unlock your bike just by using your personal device.
Other standard amenities primed here include a front storage compartment, under-seat storage, a rear rack, a side stand safety switch, a mechanical key entry system, a reverse gear function, USB-A charging ports, and many more.
