Malaysia Leads Regional MG Cyberster Sales, Over 90 Units Booked
MG Motor Malaysia (SAIC Motor Malaysia) revealed it has received over 90 bookings for the stylish and quick MG Cyberster EV open-top roadster.

This week, MG Motor Malaysia (SAIC Motor Malaysia) revealed that Malaysia now stands as the best-performing market across both the Asia and Oceania regions when it comes to sales of the MG Cyberster all-electric (EV) roadster.
The firm adds that to date, over 90 bookings have been placed for the sole open-top EV sportscar on sale in the local market since it first launched.
MG Motor Malaysia says the MG Cyberster has garnered over 90 bookings since its launch back in Dec 2024 at KLIMS 2024.

Officially introduced locally in All-Wheel-Drive (AWD, dual-motor) guise back in Dec 2024 during KLIMS 2024, the firm also expanded the model’s range by introducing a more accessibly-priced - and longer-ranged - ‘RWD’ (single-motor) variant for which last month too.
In light of the milestone detailed, MG Motor Malaysia notes that it will be hosting a series of exclusive test-drive events centred on the Cyberster as detailed below:

Notably, customers that place bookings the highly-charged and stylish EV roadster during the exclusive test-drive events at the locations listed will firstly be rewarded with a complimentary JomCharge one-year unlimited charging package with AutoCharge function included.
Secondly, said customers will also get rewarded with a 7 kW AC wallbox charger (excluding installation fees), followed thirdly by a limited-edition MG Cyberster die-cast collectible scale model, plus various other exclusive gifts.

Twin-motored All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) variant pictured, boasting 544 PS and 725 NM and 0-100 KM/H dashes in 3.2 secs, is tagged at RM319,900.

We’ve recently had a go in the hot seat of this Anglo-Chinese EV roadster ourselves in AWD guise. Certainly, this variant’s supercar-baiting headlining figures of 544 PS (536 HP) and 725 NM plus 0-100 KM/H dashes in 3.2 secs will be a big thrill for most prospects.
Whilst the twin-motored, AWD variant commands RM319,900, the new RWD guise slotted below which is tagged at RM299,900 instead. You can get to know both variants in greater depth via our launch reports of each by clicking here and here.
