Over 100 BYD Seal 6 Delivered In First Week

BYD Sime Motors has hit the ground running with the launch of the all-new BYD Seal 6 in Malaysia. Within just a week of its debut, more than 100 units have already been delivered to customers across Peninsular and East Malaysia.
Showrooms nationwide now have the Seal 6 on display for test drives, while the first batch of owners are already taking delivery. Malaysia is also the first international market to welcome the model into BYD’s Ocean Series range. In its home market, the car is sold as the Qin L under the Dynasty Series.

“The smooth rollout shows our commitment to building trust and making electric mobility more accessible,” said Adeline Lew, Managing Director of BYD Sime Motors.
As a refresher, the Seal 6 officially launched here on Sept 26 with two variants offered, the Dynamic priced at RM100,000 and the Premium at RM115,800. Early buyers are being offered a launch package valued at up to RM6,288. The incentive is limited to the first 800 customers.

Looking ahead, BYD Sime Motors plans to expand its retail and service network from 37 outlets today to 50 by 2026. The aim is to strengthen access nationwide and support the country’s transition to electrified mobility.
This local push ties into BYD’s broader regional strategy, with the company confirming that its 600,000 square metre CKD facility in Tanjung Malim is slated to begin operations in the second half of 2026. The investment underscores BYD’s commitment to Malaysia as it prepares for the expiry of full import and excise duty exemptions for EVs in December 2025.

It has not yet been revealed which models will be locally assembled or whether the premium Denza brand will be included. What is clear is that BYD, already the country’s number one EV brand, is setting the stage to anchor Malaysia’s EV future.
