Following its first unveiling earlier this month, the much-anticipated Xpeng G7 EREV has officially made its debut in China. Dubbed the world’s longest-ranged SUV, this range-extender (EREV) SUV boasts a combined travel range of up to 1,704 km, while featuring the same 800-volt high-voltage system that supports 5C fast charging as its EV version.

Launched simultaneously with the 2026 model year version of its BEV twin, the new G7 EREV’s design and dimensions mirror the outgoing model, featuring a midsize SUV bodystyle with Xpeng’s latest design cues. Key highlights include the X Face front fascia with a full-width LED DRL, flushed door handles, full-width LED taillights with sharp ends, and more.

Dimension-wise, the G7 EREV slots above the G6 SUV, measuring 4,918 mm long, 1,925 mm wide, and 1,655 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2,890 mm.

The same goes for the interior, where the EREV version carries over the cabin setup from its BEV twin. Buyers can find plenty of amenities here, including a 15.6-inch central infotainment screen, a 9-inch digital rearview mirror, an expansive 87-inch AR-HUD, two 50-watt wireless chargers, ventilated front seats with massage functions and zero-gravity mode for the passenger side, a 20-speaker sound system, and a sizable boot space of 779 litres.

As for its powertrain setup, we previously detailed that the G7 EREV uses a 1.5-litre 4-cyl turbocharged petrol engine as its core, which in turn powers up a sizable 55.8 kWh battery pack that can provide up to 400 km of EV range. In charge of driving the car is a rear-mounted electric motor rated at 292 hp (218 kW).
Combined with its 60-litre fuel tank, Xpeng claims the G7 EREV is capable of delivering up to 1,704 km of combined driving range, thus making it the world’s longest-ranged SUV. To ensure your long-distance driving is in a comfortable manner, Xpeng has equipped the G7 EREV with a CDC continuous damping system.

Another key upgrade for the G7 EREV is in its computing powers, where the new model can be opted with up to three Xpeng Turing AI chips that deliver a combined computing power of 2,250 TOPS. This allows the SUV to support Xpeng’s new Ultra ADAS system, enabling both urban and highway Navigation-on-Autopilot (NoA) autonomous driving.

Now available for purchase in native China, the all-new Xpeng G7 EREV retails from CNY 195,800 (RM113,940) for the baseline Max Tech and CNY 205,800 (RM119,759) for the top-spec Max Flagship. On top of that, this EREV SUV made its local Chinese debut alongside the updated 2026 Xpeng P7+, while its global version will make its European debut later today.
