Mitsubishi Xforce CKD Rolls Out, Bookings Opened Feb 5 Onwards
Earlier today, MMM revealed that it has begun rolling out locally built (CKD) units of its upcoming new Mitsubishi Xforce compact crossover offering.

Teased locally last month with registration of interest (ROI) opened online, the upcoming new Mitsubishi XForce compact crossover SUV takes yet another step closer to its planned Malaysian market entry this year.
Earlier today, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) revealed that it has begun rolling out locally assembled (CKD) units of said new model from its assembly line in Pekan, Pahang. Additionally, the firm also confirmed that bookings will open this week starting from Feb 5.
Full details and specifications of the Xforce model for Malaysia will be revealed via a special digital presentation hosted online by MMM on Feb 5 at 10:30AM. This will be streamed via MMM’s official Facebook, Tik Tok, YouTube and Instagram pages.
The CKD roll-out announcement is arguably a critical one. Firstly, with CKD status, the Xforce is poised to enter the local market with a competitive price tag versus its key rivals like the Honda HR-V, Chery Tiggo Cross, and perhaps the face-lifted Proton X50 too.
“Mass production of the all-new Mitsubishi Xforce represents the application of Mitsubishi Motors’ Japanese manufacturing philosophy at our Pekan plant,” adds MMM CEO Takashi Sakamaki further.
Secondly, MMM also notes that through this CKD effort, customers placing early bookings won’t have to wait long to receive theirs. In fact, the firm has committed to deliver the first 800 units of the new Mitsubishi Xforce to local customers starting from April onwards.
MMM says bookings will open this week from Feb 5 onwards following a special online digital presentation. The firm adds the first 800 units will also be delivered starting April onwards.

Despite today’s announcement, MMM continues to skirt away from revealing full specifications of Xforce. We’ll point out that in neighbouring ASEAN markets, the model is available with both traditional combustion (ICE) and hybrid powertrain choices.
First revealed back in Aug 2023, the Mitsubishi Xforce shares the same 1.5-litre 4-cyl naturally aspirated petrol mill with the Xpander three-row compact MPV crossover, outputting a claimed 103 hp and 141 Nm to the front wheels via a CVT automatic box.

When first revealed in 2023, the Xforce shares the same heart as the Xpander model. The package consists of a familiar 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol mill paired with a CVT automatic box.

Early last year, a new hybrid petrol-electric version debuted in Thailand during the Bangkok International Motor Show 2025, this time packing a larger and peppier 1.6-litre 4-cyl MIVEC petrol mill paired with an e-motor and compact lithium-ion battery setup.
Notably, said hybrid sees its ICE half, rated at 95 PS and 134 Nm, serve primarily as a generator to charge up its electrified half, which puts out 116 PS and 255 Nm. Managing both is a unique two-speed transaxle automatic transmission.

A newly added hybrid powertrain choice debuted early last year in Thailand. This setup sees the 1.6-litre MIVEC 4-cyl mill serve as a generator for an e-motor and compact battery unit paired with it.

Both versions are brimmed with the Japanese tri-diamond marque’s unique Active Yaw Control (AYC) driver assist, as well as four selectable drive modes – Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud. The hybrid version also adds EV Priority and Charge modes into said mix.
Beyond powertrain choices, we’ll also adds that the Mitsubishi Xforce has also earned a 5-star ASEAN NCAP crash-test rating. Key elements granting which include a series of ADAS functions brimmed such as FCW, AEB, BSD, and more.
Expect more details once MMM conducts its special presentation stream later this week. In the meantime, what do you folks reckon? Could the Xforce finally bolster the firm's local sales beyond its highly popular Xpander and staple Triton offerings? Share your take in the comments below…
