Lepas L4 EV

The LEPAS L4 EV is a compact five-seat electric SUV positioned between the B- and C-SUV segments. Previewed locally with a 160-kW front-mounted motor, a 65.05-kWh net battery and up to 500 KM of claimed range, it will serve as LEPAS’ entry-level electric SUV when launched in Malaysia. Pricing and final specifications remain unconfirmed. 

The minimalist dashboard is centred around a large portrait infotainment screen and slim horizontal air vents.

The driver receives a compact digital instrument display positioned behind the steering wheel.

A waterfall-style centre console houses physical climate controls, storage areas and a wireless charging pad.

It features a two-row, five-seat layout, although final Malaysian upholstery and seat adjustment specifications remain unconfirmed.

The 2,700-MM wheelbase provides a spacious five-seat cabin for an SUV of its size.

Cabin storage includes centre-console compartments, door pockets and a front storage compartment.

A multifunction steering wheel provides physical controls for essential vehicle and media functions.

Two cup holders are positioned along the centre console.

A 50-W Qi wireless smartphone charger is included, while the local USB-port configuration is yet to be confirmed.

The cabin adopts a clean, technology-focused design, but final material quality should be assessed once the Malaysian production model arrives.

The powered tailgate opens to a 452-litre boot. A front boot is also included, although its capacity has not been disclosed. 

It measures 4,406 MM long, 1,820 MM wide and 1,635 MM tall, with a 2,700-MM wheelbase.

The grille-less front features a protruding nose, sculpted air intakes and a clean EV-specific appearance.

The rounded rear profile incorporates a roof spoiler, slim lighting elements and a contrasting lower bumper.

Slim LED headlamps are paired with distinctive L-shaped LED daytime running lights.

The slim rear lamps stretch across the tailgate to emphasise the vehicle’s width.

Conventional side mirrors complement the two-tone exterior, although final Malaysian functions remain unconfirmed.

The Malaysian preview vehicle rides on 18-inch alloy wheels featuring LEPAS’ Leopard Shadow design. 

LEPAS states that the L4 EV will offer 21 ADAS functions, including systems designed for urban and highway driving.

Airbag count and full passive-safety specifications for Malaysia have not been announced.

Available driving modes have not been detailed for the Malaysian preview model. 

The Level 2 driver-assistance package includes functions such as adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance.

A 13.2-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen operates the infotainment, connectivity and selected vehicle functions.

The Malaysian sound-system specification has not been confirmed.

A single front-mounted electric motor produces 218 PS or 160 KW and 275 NM of torque.

Power is delivered through a single-speed electric reduction drive.

The LEPAS L4 EV uses a front-wheel-drive configuration.

The LEPAS L4 EV combines distinctive styling, a spacious cabin and a competitive electric powertrain in a compact SUV package. Its 500-KM claimed range, 160-KW motor and practical boot appear promising, but its final value will depend on Malaysian pricing, equipment and warranty coverage.
