New Honda City Received 9,000 Bookings in a Month, V Variant the Most Popular
Within a short time frame of a month, the 5th generation Honda City has racked up 9,000 bookings. At 54% of total bookings, the V variant is the most popular of the lot.
The car is very well-received in the Central region, taking up 44% of the total bookings. Buyers in the Northern and Southern region make up 22% and 19% respectively. Platinum White Pearl is the most popular colour among customers, with it taking up 28% of the overall sales.
To date, more than 2,400 of the 9,000 bookings have been delivered to customers nationwide. “The 5th generation all-new Honda City has been very well received in the market and bookings have increased by an additional 80% within a month of its official launch. This outstanding Honda model continues to capture the hearts of Malaysians be it working adults, young executives or young families,” said Honda Malaysia, CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Toichi Ishiyama.
The all new Honda City S, E, and V are priced at RM73,851, RM81,664, and RM86,561 respectively. The car comes with a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, and 5 labour-free services within 100,000 or 5 years, whichever comes first. Pricing for the electrified RS variant has yet to be announced.
