First Look: Face-lifted 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQA And EQB

Mercedes-Benz has refreshed both the EQA and EQB for the new 2024 model year guise.
Mercedes-Benz just revealed refreshed iterations of both its EQA and EQB stater EV crossovers for the new 2024 model year. Both have been given mild styling tweaks inside and out, endowed with a host of tech upgrades, but only the larger EQB gets a slight bump in range.
The face-lift sees both the EQA and EQB sporting revised exterior styling to mirror larger, pricier Mercedes-Benz EVs, namely the EQS and EQE. These include new star-spangled black grilles, along with restyled bumpers and taillights too.
On board, the cabins in both sees the adoption of a new three-spoke steering wheel, updated trim pieces in the dash and doors featuring illuminated three-point stars motif, as well as an upgraded and larger infotainment suite – more on which in a bit.

Exterior and interior styling changes are mild, but both models sees significant tech upgrades on board too.
As mentioned, only the larger three-row EQB benefits with a slight range increase. For the new single-motor EQB 250+ sees its motor and 70.5 kWh battery optimized to improve its claimed WLTP range from 506 KM to 536 KM – a 30 KM improvement. As for the dual-motor (4Matic) EQB 300 and EQB 350 variants, the same optimisation sees its claimed WLTP range raised to 448 KM, marking a 29 KM improvement here.
Power outputs remains unchanged at 188 HP (EQB 250+), 225 HP (EQB 300), and 288 HP (EQB 350). All now share the same 70.5 kWh battery mentioned which accepts either 9.6 kW AC or 100 kW DC charging inputs as before.
Over to the EQA which also sees similar trio of trimline guises available, it retains the same 66.5 kWh (EQA 250) and 70.5 kWh (EQA 250+, EQ 300, and EQA 350) battery choices from before, along with its single- and dual-motor setups rated at 188 HP (EQA 250 and EQA 250+), 225 HP (EQA 300 4Matic) and 288 HP (EQA 350 4Matic). As a result, range figures plus charging inputs remains unchanged from before too.

Similar exterior and interior styling tweaks can be seen in the larger EQB model too.
As for the tech upgrades, both the face-lifted EQA and EQB now gain an upgraded MBUX infotainment suite powering its 10.25-inch touchscreen display. The update brings three display styles, 10 color options and a Zero Layer interface for less scrolling times. Apple CarPlay or Android Auto now connects wireless, whereas the voice assistant is claimed to be more useful to compensate for the loss of the trackpad.
Next the optional Burmester audio system gets beefed up with Dolby Atmos and sound ‘experiences’. Depending on market, features such as Active Distance Assist Distronic and augmented reality navigation can be either purchased outright or via subscription through over-the-air updates. Additionally, enhanced sensors also sees refined operations for both the lane-keeping assist and parking aids.
