KINETA & ChargEV Ink MoU To Expand EV Charging Network & Project Tenders

Kineta and ChargEV have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU), which aims to advance Kineta’s mission of delivering comprehensive EV charging solutions and expanding its charging network for customers and business partners.
Through this MoU, ChargEV and Kineta will work together to enhance and expand their EV charging network in Malaysia. This partnership also positions both companies to join forces for major tenders in Malaysia and the surrounding region.

Kineta boasts one of the largest Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST)-certified EV charger installation teams, with 40 electrical engineers dedicated to ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for all home and business installations.
Kineta also offers comprehensive support with its in-house Customer Service, After Sales, Technical Support, and Warranty Teams.

Meanwhile, ChargEV, a subsidiary of Yinson GreenTech, specialises in cross-border charging infrastructure networks between Malaysia and Singapore, focused on helping businesses electrify their sites and seamlessly integrate into the EV charging network.
During the MoU ceremony, Sunny Lee, MD of Kineta Sdn Bhd said, "We are excited to join forces with ChargEV to provide a full end-to-end solution for all EV drivers’ charging needs. Together, we can accelerate the government’s goal of installing 10,000 chargers within the next few years.

He further added that this partnership is a major milestone in the EV industry, combining ChargEV's extensive infrastructure network with Kineta’s comprehensive solutions to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles," the Kineta MD added.
Meanwhile, SengTeong Chua, MD of ChargEV explained, “Battery Electric Vehicles accounted for only 1.45% of new car sales in 2023. As demand for fully electric vehicles grows, the need for accessible, reliable, and seamless charging infrastructure will increase.

Both ChargEV and Kineta are committed to supporting Malaysia’s goal of EVs comprising 15% of the total industry volume by 2030, in line with the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint and the National Transition Roadmap.
