MAS 2025: TQ Wuling Bingo EV Showcased Publicly

On show at MAS 2025 is the upcoming new TQ Wuling Bingo EV from Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd (TCMH).
Showcased publicly for the first time at Malaysia Autoshow 2025 (MAS 2025), the upcoming new TQ Wuling Bingo EV is poised to become one of the most affordable EVs on sale in Malaysia.
As reported prior, the TQ Wuling brand comes from local conglomerate Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd (TCMH). This banner will be used by the group to market and distribute vehicles from Chinese automaker SAIC-GM Wuling (SGM).

Positioned as a compact EV city car, TCM is poised to offer the TQ Wuling Bingo EV with a tempting sub-RM100,000 price tag when it launches later this year.
The first of which will be the Bingo EV and as reported, the compact EV city car will be assembled locally (CKD) at the Tan Chong Motor Assemblies (TCMA) facility located in Segambut, Kuala Lumpur by TCMH ahead of its planned launched later this year.
Critically, this localisation bid is arguably the key behind TCMH’s promise of marketing the TQ Wuling Bingo EV with an enticing sub-RM100,000 price tag. With that in mind, it’s not surprising to see how eager the firm is to showcase the Bingo EV at MAS 2025.

It's worth pointing out that the 'TW Wuling' brand name is unique to the Malaysian market.
Despite so, TCMH remains tight-lipped about specs, even with the units on show here at MAS 2025. Nevertheless, we have some idea of what to expect thanks to the model’s Indonesian market model as a reference.
In said neighbouring republic across the Malacca Strait, the Bingo EV (marketed as the ‘Binguo’ there instead) has two variants on offer starting with a base-spec ‘Long Range’ guise packing a 31.9 kWh LFP battery pack.
Above which comes a ‘Premium Range’ guise with a larger 37.9 kWh pack instead. Both guises share the same front-mounted e-motor outputting a ‘modest’ 68 PS and 150 NM to drive its front wheels.

The front-mounted e-motor puts out a 'modest' 68 PS and 150 NM to drive the front wheels.

Interestingly, the TQ Wuling Bingo EV sports two charging ports - one of each side in the front quarter panel.
In terms of range, the Indonesian model mentioned touts up to 333 KM and 410 KM respectively, though we must stress these are CLTC-rated figures – real world I(WLTP) range will be much lower.
Charging speeds and times continue to elude us, but a highlight of the Indonesian model we’re referencing is its ability to draw in DC charging inputs and deliver 30-80% re-charges in just 35 minutes.
We’ll add that there are two charging ports present too – one on each side of the front quarter panel.

On board, the level of tech, luxury, and premium amenities appears very promising, and that's despite this EV's size and promised price tag.
In terms of features and amenities, the Wuling Bingo EV seems to hold strong promise. That’s because it comes brimmed with a respectably high amount of kit on board matched with decent levels of luxury too.
We’ll be brief here and note highlights like full-LED lighting, dual-digital displays, keyless entry and ignition, what appears to be plush faux leather (leatherette) upholstery covering the seats, dash, and door inserts, as well as power-adjustable front seats.

You can see the TQ Wuling Bingo EV up close at MAS 2025 in the TQ Wuling brand booth located in Hall A1.
Overall, there’s indeed enough here to perhaps warrant a second look away from things like the BYD Dolphin, and perhaps the arguably similar Dongfeng Box. All that remains now is how TCMH will eventually price it when it’s launched later this year.
You can check out more images of the TQ Wuling Bingo EV in the gallery prepared below and give us your thoughts of it in the comments too. Otherwise, you can size it up in the flesh in the TQ Wuling booth located in Hall A1 at MAS 2025.
