Launched: XPeng G6 RWD Standard Range - 480KM Range, RM158,888

Following the launch of the updated 2026 XPeng G6 back in Oct 2025, XPeng Malaysia has expanded its line-up with a new entry-level variant to keep the model accessible as the EV tax holiday winds down.
Officially launched today, the XPeng G6 RWD Standard Range lowers the entry point into the brand’s EV SUV range while retaining the core technology and design of the G6.

Positioned below the RWD Long Range and AWD variants, the Standard Range targets buyers seeking a more attainable entry into XPeng’s intelligent EV ecosystem without sacrificing everyday usability.
Power comes from a single rear-mounted electric motor producing 248 hp (185 kW) and 440 Nm. This is lower than the 292 hp (218 kW) output of the G6 RWD Long Range, while the dual-motor AWD Performance variants deliver a combined 480 hp (358 kW).

The main distinction lies battery capacity. The G6 RWD Standard Range uses a 68.5 kWh LFP battery, compared to the 80.8 kWh LFP unit fitted to the Long Range and AWD models. The smaller pack reduces overall weight and improves efficiency for daily driving.
Performance sees the Standard Range complete the 0–100 km/h sprint in 6.9 secs, with a WLTP-rated range of up to 480 KM. In contrast, the RWD Long Range manages a 6.7-sec century sprint and up to 525 KM of range, while the AWD Performance cuts the century dash to just over 4 secs with a WLTP range of up to 510 KM.

Charging remains a highlight. Built on XPeng’s 800-volt SEPA 2.0 architecture, the G6 RWD Standard Range supports DC fast charging inputs up to 382 kW, allowing a 10–80% charge in around 12 minutes. AC charging via an 11 kW wallbox takes just over seven hours.
Equipment levels are largely consistent across the range, with the Standard Range retaining XPILOT Assist, a full suite of active safety systems, a dual-screen digital cockpit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and XPeng’s voice-controlled infotainment.

Pricing starts at RM158,888 for the G6 RWD Standard Range. The G6 RWD Long Range is priced at RM178,888, followed by the G6 AWD Performance at RM189,888, while the AWD Black Edition tops the range at RM193,888.
The new Standard Range is fully imported from China and is now open for booking. Every G6 purchase includes either a two-year unlimited charging package with JomCharge or a complimentary 11 kW wallbox with installation by DC Handal.

Ownership support includes a five-year or 120,000 KM vehicle warranty, five-years or 100,000 KM free service, and an eight-year or 160,000 KM EV battery warranty.
XPeng Malaysia has also confirmed there are no changes to specifications or pricing across its current lineup for the time being, providing added reassurance as EV incentives taper off.
